I’ve slowed my life way down + created space.
Moving with this intention is finally coming out in my painting.

This body of work allows room to breathe.
They’re airy + open.
They’re intentional without fluff.
They’re raw, authentic, emotional yet calming.
They’re works in progress — Arguably on the edge of unfinished.
They hang in their power.

I’ve challenged myself in this new work.

I have to fight the urge I feel to keep adding.
Instead I continuously ask myself if it’s balanced enough to be finished yet still stay on the verge of unfinished.

I don’t want to push them too far.
I want them raw.
I want to be slightly uncomfortable + at the same time at peace with how open they are.

This body of work has a lot of emotion behind it.

It’s processing all the change in my life in a short period of time.

The ups + downs.
Big decisions + life questions.
Learning to trust my own timing + inner knowing.

To sit in the discomfort.

To be okay with being raw + unfinished.
